X Communities agent

How the X Communities agent finds the X Communities worth joining, writes a post for each one's members, and posts it into the Community once you approve it.

What it does

The X Communities agent finds the X Communities where your audience gathers, tells you which ones to join and why, and drafts a post for each Community your account joined. Each post is written for that Community's members, in the shape of the posts they already answer, and gives them something before it mentions what you build.

A post inside a Community is shown to its members whether or not they follow you, so for a new account it is one of the few posts seen from the first day. Kwern also shares it with your followers, as the "Also share with followers" box does on x.com.

When it runs

It runs as a Loop every few days, off until you turn it on: its posts only go out from an account that joined each Community, and X lets no app join one. Join the Communities it names in X's app, then turn it on.

What it needs

The X connector. Without it the agent is unavailable and does not run. It shares the connection with X posts and X replies.

What it reads

The foundation doc, the growth plan and the product memory first, then X's Communities, searched by what your audience talks about. X bills each Community a search returns, and Kwern takes it from your plan's Usage.

For each Community worth a post, it reads the Community's page through Kwern's search service: its rules and its latest posts, with the replies each drew. X's own API serves neither. When the rules cannot be read, the draft says so. A Community whose rules ask members to post from their own personal account gets no post from your Product's account, and stays out of the list of Communities to join.

It also reads its own past proposals: a Community it already posted into is one your account joined, and a post that failed carries X's reason.

What it leaves you

Proposals in one category, post, each aimed at one Community and planned for an hour your X calendar leaves free. Approving agrees to that hour; Kwern then posts it inside the Community from your account. A post into a Community your account has not joined fails with X's own reason, and nothing else goes out.

Each run also saves a short report naming the Communities worth joining that you have not joined yet, each with its link and why it fits.

The skills it runs

It enters through community-marketing, and may activate social and copywriting.

Editing its instructions

The agent's page in the app carries the instructions it is given at the start of every run, and you rewrite them there: the Communities to stay out of, the kind of post a Community should get. The cadence is not editable. The switch reads on, off or paused, where paused means Kwern stopped it for a reason and will resume it when that reason clears.
